Thanks to everyone for their input. I already have a ton of articles on birds, I was just looking to see if anyone had heard of the same problem apllying to reptiles and/or other animals.
We are in the process of replacing all our no stick cookware just because it is better to be safe than sorry and I've had more than a few vets suggest we do it. I can only imagine what it's going to be like when we go to buy a new stove as I have been told that teflon can be found in new stoves as well. lol
I've put in a pic of Kai for Annaka. BEFORE anyone gets upset, he is in the cage the former owner gave us, we now know the cage is far too small and are looking for something larger. Also, before he came here, Kai had been stress plucking and chewing his flight feathers, since coming here that has stopped. We are guessing that between his former owner admitting she no longer had time to spend with him and the small size of his cage that is the reason he was doing that. Here is lives in the home office where there is almost always someone with him, we don't make him stay in his cage, in the morning we take off the lock and he lets himself out. The only time he is locked in his cage is to sleep or if we are not home. If anyone has a suggestion on the best
place(s) to buy him a new cage let me know.
Thanks again
IC
