Unfortunately, without so much as a picture, no one on any forum can really do anything except take stabs in the dark as far as what may be wrong with your ig.

As far as vets are concerned, they are bound by law in that they are forbidden to do any kind of diagnosing over the internet. Your best bet would be to explain your situation to your regular vet. You may find that he/she may be willing to treat your ig either for free or in exchange for any services that you may be able to offer either in "sweat equity" or any sort of "specialized skills" that you may have.
