First, Joe, it is always best to house iguanas separately if possible. If not, 2 together is plenty. Also, multiple iguanas housed in the same enclosure require much more room. If you have them in a tank, then, yes, they will hurt one another. You've probably observed the "stacking" behaviour, in which they seem to stack up on top of each other. This is an overcrowding syndrome, and leads to health problems. As an example, igs subject to "stacking" usually develop skin abcesses and infections caused by the needle sharp claws of thier cagemates as they "stack up"
As they grow, a dominant ig will emerge (this may already be happening to you) and he'll make life miserable for the others. Do your igs a favor, and get them separate enclosures, or find good homes for some of them if space is a problem.
At any rate, 4 igs in an enclosure would require a 10' x 14' room size to do well, without competition.
