: Walter is approx 6 mos old. He's bowels have been working fine until approx 3-4 weeks ago. In an attempt to get Walter to poop, the vet has given him 2 enemas, barium xray to check for blockage (none found), antibiotics (though maybe it was intestinal bacteria), and currently Metoclopromide (sounds similiar to a laxitive, has been on it for 4 days). I soak Walter 2-3 times a day in warm water only to have him grunt and push and nothing comes out. His appetite has decreased but he still eats (collard and turnip greens, bananas, grapes). He's brownish in color. His cage is between kept 90-95 degrees. His stomach is getting big around. The vet is stumped. Anyone have any suggestions? Walter is our first iggy and we've become terribly attached. We'd hate to have anything happen to him.
