There are a few good brands of calcium and of vitamins. One of those good brands is Rep-Cal (this is what I use) You can also used crushed fruit flavored tums for calcium, but watch that you don't use too much. They get a lot of calcium from calcium rich veggies and I rarely supplement. I only use vitamins 1-2x per week as well.
There are a few light options. The Zoomed 5.0 is a flourescent ($20 online) that should be changed every 6-8 months. The Trex Active UV light provides heat and UV ($50+ I think) and lasts at least a year, maybe longer. There are some competitors for this latter light (Zoomed Powersun and ESU ----something) So far it is too soon to tell how these last couple compare but there have been praises regarding the Zoomed 5 and the Active UV.
: Hi, what calcium suppliment shoul I get Phil? my old one is running out. Also do I need a vitamin suppliment as well? also, how long do full spectrum fluorescent loghts last? how often should they be changed? what is the best kind of full spectrum light for iggies? phew, been saving those questions up for a while so I could ask them all at once. Thanx :)
