Well new york has a very bad law on the books awaiting more research.......

To ban all exotic animals except for companion pets because we all know reptiles cannot be exotic pets!! The state assembly should be contacted if you have time...I emailed them, I dont have a link handy but it outlaws all just about all reptiles.
