The only reason that I can see for the water gatoraide mix would be to encourage the ig to drink water. I would just bathe them in clean water on a regular basis and let them drink if they feel so inclined. If you do use the mix rinse them off to avoid a sticky lizard and possible bacterial or insect problem.
