Iguanas can get 6 feet sometimes bigger, and they are aboreal meaning the need to climb a lot, for height id reccomend 8 feet because that gives them a lil room to climb. You dont want you lizard to have to bend his body to turn so 6x6 in my opinion is the minimum dimensions, and even a cage 6x6x8 or even 8x8x8 is not at all ideal for an iguana. My iguana free roams the bathroom, the best is to give your iguana an entire room or an indoor closet. Also free roamers ive heard are known to be much tamer than caged animals and thats important for iguanas cuz iguanas can be MEAN VICOUS DEMONS. At 6 feet big you dont want a nasty iguana, they have a powerful tail and jaw. I dont think its a problem to put a baby iguana into a big cage. But i think if you dont have an iguana, you shouldnt adopt one unless you can provide it its own bathroom, indoor closet, or room, and take him out in the house alot. If you do that the baby COULD free roam but caging a baby is reccomended because small lizardas can get lost. But i wouldnt advise adoption unless you can provide it ALOT of room, contact, and research ALOT about diet, and temperatures diet on every website differs so you need to do ALOT of research.
Good luck
Ian
