In Reply to: Can my iggie eat rice paper? Please read. posted by Clint on November 17, 2001 at 21:11:12:
: I am trying to make feeding and clean-up easier for me and my little friend and I thought that I could feed him on top of rice paper and just throw it away at the end of the day. That way, I don't have to wash any bowls and risk spreading germs to my sink. I would think that rice paper would be totally digestible and harmless...any input?

Why don't you use paper towels or black and white newspaper under him and paper plates. I keep all the lids from Cool Whip or the "potato salad" size (one pound, I think) containers and use those to put the food on. If you throw one away by mistake, no big deal. I do wash them off and use them again, most of the time.
