: I was just wondering how much i should feed my iguana per day.
Hi Mike,
I feed my two iguanas about three to four times a day! They eat almost everytime food is offered to them, too. They are quite the snackers.
Collards and mustard greens are great, but they alone don't have all of the vitamins an iguana needs. Your girlfriend was right in that they DO need vegetables, but Nanci was right in telling you that frozen veggies are not the best. The process of freezing them takes out many of the important vitamins. Frozen is fine in a pinch, but fresh vegetables are far far better for them long term.
Tell us how he likes his diet once you change it to include more vegetables. I bet he will eat a lot more when he has a variety to choose from!
Good luck!
Diana
