: I have a reptisun uvb light and all set up but hes only under it when hes basking so im doing away with it and getting a uv heat light. I was wodnering though how many hours in real sun (florida sun) is equivalent to like a day under flourescent lighting? Borris spent two hours today in the sun, i put a dresser up against the window sill and opened the window up and secured the screen so he cant get out and he just layed out in the sun and watched the kids and people in the streets. Tuesday i have a day off frokm school (skipping but its ok we arent doing anything) so he will get to spend a lot of time in the sun.

Ian:
The two hours a day is probably plenty of sunshine for the iguana provided the rays are getting thru the screen. Some screens filter more out than others and unfortunately I don't know much about that.
