You might not believe this, but here goes;

Get a referigerator box, and cut the cardboard to the size you want. Use packing tape to join the edges. Make a cutout on one side, and tape a piece of acrylic sheet over it for a door. Devise latches on the top, bottom and other end of the panel so the ig can't push his way out. Or make the door small and use one latch.

Assemble it at your destination, and cut it apart at the seams for transport.

Your ig will not like the cage because he is not familiar with it.
