: Ok your right, but it still says like half greens and half veggies, is this rigyht? I thought they were mainly leaf eaters. Also im having the most difficult time getting my iguana to eat leaves and greens. Why??? Shouldnt h eat them? I used to give him pellets which he loved a lot, now im givong him collards, escarole, green beans, and squash and he hardly touches it. I guess he will learn.
You are right -- igs CAN be ornery when it comes to eating. Keep offering it and see what happens. My ig LOVES kidney beans. On days he doesn't eat much, I will give him some. I don't think they're good to give all the time. As for the squash (I use butternut), I cook it in the microwave for my ig. He wouldn't touch it raw. I nuke half and put it in a container and then every day I nuke a spoonful of it for l0 seconds (same with the beans). When you have veggies for supper, try some of them. I will give mine cut up
brussels sprouts every so often, rice, applesauce (when I make it fresh)....you will find things he likes. Do you let the leaves whole? Mine likes them better that way so he can rip at them.
Hope this helps.
