While the local shelter may not have any iguanas available, that doesn't mean that there aren't igs in your state looking for a home!

I would try looking at the Green Iguana Society's website OR even better, place a post here titled -In Alabama LOOKING to adopt! You can also try your local newspaper or doing an internet search to find message boards, etc where people post animals for adoption!
