: I am starting a breeding project, and wanted to know how to take care of an Iguana. Can someone please tell me? How much money can I make?

Igs can lay tons of eggs at one time. What are you going to do with 50 baby iguanas when you don't know how to care for them and you only want to make money? Igs are not cheap to feed and need special lighting, special foods and special care. Pet stores and lots of other places do NOT take the time to learn about igs and they do NOT know how to advise people that buy them the proper way to take care of them. Then the igs either die or someone ends up with a 6 foot iguana after the pet store personnel told them they wouldn't grow much at all. Do yourself a favor........find another hobby OR learn everything you need to about iguanas and THEN decide if that's what you want to do.
There are new books out there that are extremely up to date. If you are serious about this, read and learn all you can FIRST.......Melissa Kaplan has a book out "Iguanas for Dummies" and you can find articles and information at Anapsid.org about iguanas.
