: Ok, I have an igauna about 2.5 feet long about how old would that make him? Also, when do they get full grown and how long will he live? Thanks
: Ian
Their length all depends on the kind of iguana they are, how they have been taken care of, how their diet is now, etc. I guess there is an average somewhere, but it can vary by iguana. Also, I believe the males might get bigger than the females. My iguana is l8 months old and is just about 3 feet long. He did lose about 4" of tail last year. A full grown iguana can get anywhere from 4-7 feet long. My iguana is two feet of tail and about one of body, so sometimes I think people get scared off by their length and think they'll end up with an alligator (LOL).
