mouth rot?

I saw a picture a while ago of someones bearded dragon near the mouth there was what looked like an open wound it was pinkish and there was no green on this tiny spot near the mouth, is it called mouth rot, what could it be? I would like to know. Is this common with iggys, it didnt look like it could be a cage rub.
