: I just wanted to thank all the nice Igg lovers out there who responded to "Ill Iguana-Please Advise Urgent" a few weeks back. I never knew there was such a community of folks just like me.
: Roxy passed away on October 30th about 5am. I was fortunate to have held him in my arms one last time before he bid us farewell. He woke me up thrashing about on the floor at 4:30am and I noticed that he was having trouble breathing. I tried to calm him by bringing him in to our bed but he was quite restless. I tucked him back into bed and found him at peace an hour later. He live a great life! We spoiled him a lot. He loved to watch the birds out side his window, occationally they would sit on the sill outside curious about what he was doing there.
: I asked that our vet do the autopsy and the result determined that Roxy had a very bad cancer, Amoloynoma-I'm not sure of the spelling. She was only able to locate one other case of this in a reptile. The cancer had spread throughout his heart, liver and kidney too I believe. We can not determine what caused this, but we are thankfull that Roxy went as he did, at home, in peace, snuggled in his bed.
: Thanks again!

I've only had Max for l8 months and I know I will be devastated when the time comes. Poor Roxy must have suffered terribly and it's so hard when you don't know what's wrong. Again, sorry for the loss of your iguana.......nanci
