I also agree, I live in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario -- northern Ontario and my ig blinky is doing incredible. She free roams around the house and has two heat lamps in her basking area. One is about 100 degrees and the other is about 80. She has two giant UV bulbs and a big cage to go in when I'm not around. You really should consider keeping your Ig. The only problem would be the trip up, depending on how late you are leaving. But just keep the heat on in the vehicle and all should go well.
