He's probably very dehydrated too...
Is that another abcess on his lip, under the right nostril? Or is it a scar?
And it looks like maybe his gums are infected(the little crusty area visible on the front of his mouth)

I hope he makes it, keep updating us on his condition. He looks like he's a surviver. Does he have a name yet?
