: what is the best vitamin mineral supplement
The best? Uh,....none might be best.
Lots of people feed a varied diet, have good setups, never supplement, and their igs stay nice and healthy. I decided not to supplement my igs, and they do very well over years of time. When I was an ig newbie I used liquid Centrum for a while - a drop twice per week.
On the other hand, many people just *feel the need* to suppelment, and that seems to be ok. Just make sure you use human-grade multivitamins like Centrum, and give "just a pinch" only a few times per week at most. It's "just a pinch" because vitamin supplement types and quantities are not known for igs. Too much supplementing commonly causes hypervitaminosis - a variety of serious overdosing symptoms.
Theoretically, a varied diet of ig-appropriate foods, UVB exposure and warmth will give all the nutrients necessary. The exception is with the igs who have to eat frozen food in the off-season. These igs do need thimine suppementation when they're not eating fresh food.
Supplements in pet stores are not to be trusted. There is no regulation oversight for pet products. Some have been proven to contain other than what the lable advertizes, so no one should feel confident with them no matter what the lable or store owner says.
