...I was just wondering if anyone on here would know of someone in the southern Ontario (Mississauga/Toronto/Bramptom) area that would be able to provide a foster home for us for an abandoned iguana.

This particular iguana was abandoned several weeks ago when the family skipped town and was discovered a couple of weeks later. This particular animal shelter is not equipped to house iguanas (or reptiles at all) and he does face euthanization by early next week. Unfortunately, all of our facilities and foster homes are filled with igs at the moment and we are always looking for more foster homes for cases like this.

The only information that I have at the moment is that he is approximately 3ft in length, has a broken tail (towards the vent) and is a bit nippy (who wouldn't with the size of enclosure he is in mind you).

Due to jurisdicational matters, this iguana cannot be transferred to one of the other shelters where we have enclosures set-up - this is one of the things we are working quite hard on changing mind you.

Just curious if there is anyone out there that might be able to help out. If so, I would greatly appreciate it if you could drop me an email or call us directly. Thanks in advance. Fingers are crossed!

Candace
