I think even the leaning thing can be a sign of brushing your hand away... now when I see Sleestack rubbing himself against a surface because he is itchy--- then put my hand on him, he does like being rubbed/scratched a little.
HOwever, most of the time he cowers and tolerates my petting, but closes his eyes and waits for me to go away...he is not enjoying himself too much. The only other time I think my igs haven't minded it (good sign) is when I pet them under their dewlap--which I always do and they are not puffy and they do not close their eyes but act just as they had before I was there (this is the closest thing to enjoyment in my opinion)
