Just a quickie as I am headed out the door, tried to post this earlier today but the $#@($#@(* computer locked up on me. grrrrrrrrrrrrr
While I am not a vet and would never presume to even attempt a diagnosis, let alone over the interent ... We recently got in an iguana that was found roaming the streets of NH, he had symptoms similar to what you are describing. These symptoms mimmicked MBD and so we treated it accordingly -problem is, it didn't help at all.
Turns out our little guy was suffering from B1 deficiency. A blood test confirmed this and we treated him with injectable thiamin. He is good as new now and has regained the use of his rear legs.
Might not hurt to get a blood test done and check on this for your guy. We've learned that B1 defiency does not come from a diet lacking in thiamin, the deficiency is caused by their own systems, particularly when they ingest certain plants.
