The number of rectal craniotomies that need to be performed is increasing......
Sooooo what you're telling me here, Ghi, is that these great, wonderful, incredible, ALBINO iguanas - are wild caught?
I wonder about the numbers of occuring cases of MBD in the wild in iguanas. Somehow I think that it would be far less than those occuring in captivity. I wouldn't feel as bad about abused/neglected iguanas either if everyone - breeders/retailers, etc - were passing out acceptable husbandry info. Then it would simply be a case of smacking John Q. Public upside the head. There are simply people out there who can't take care of snails. BUT IT'S NOT. Retailers don't have clue #1 either out of true ignorance or simply because they want to make a buck. And until that changes I'm going to be in business.
Trust me, I'd rather not have to do this. I could have paid cash for the truck I bought this year. As long as there are people out there who think that it's "cool" to take advantage of "new colors" I will have to continue this work. It's simply what I do. But I'm working on a few angles that may level things out a bit. Trust me.
