I said nothing on the above post . However now I must speak . There are countless Green iguanas in need of homes . So I ask myself why breed more ? Your reply would be they are albino they are different . Lets start with cost a " True albino " will cost you upwards of 10,000.00 dollars I think we can all agree on that one . Now a plain old run of the mill Green iguanas costs 5 bucks from Flukers . That being said even if you breed a albino female and an albino male this does not mean your going to get an albino baby . So lets say 20 eggs a season 18 live no albino 18 more iguanas needing homes . Albinos are not a breed able trait ( like the color in a BD ) so like I said even with 1.1 albinos you have the same chance of getting a albino offspring as with any two you get in a store . If the case was otherwise Flukers would have albino farms because 10,000.00 each beats the hell out of 5 bucks each . My point being even after all the banter you fail to realize every time you breed an iguana you are adding to the problem . In every litter of 20 only one will make it to adulthood and only one in 1000 iguanas dies of old age . There are more iguanas then homes we do not need any more .
