The financial end was a disaster. WE only sold two reindeer and told in about $16 dollars in donations. The rabbit people and the Wildlife response people said it was bad too. They were only 4000 tickets sold. One of the crafters said that Osama won.
One the other side, we met people from a neighboring city's Petsmart who wants to try to get HQ to allow us in the store. We met people from the zoo. We had librarians and teachers take the NIAD coloring sheet. We met people who are glad they saw the display. We met grandma's who bought iguanas as gifts to kids who lost it in the house. The grandmas almost fainted at the stitches. The picture of the teeth and the stitches is a hit with parents. We met people who needed a reptile vet. We met people who liked Sam's cage for ferrets, etc. We met people with sick iguanas who took info. We met a women who thought the Humane Society outlawed reptiles. We did meet people who knew they were hard to care for. We also met many people who used to have an iguana. We met someone whose two year old had an iguana. I wish she had a picture when she saw the stitches. we also met a woman whose son had one that ate commercial food and didn't thrive. Many peope were surprised at how common it is to find a stray.
The Wildlife people were over a couple of times threatening (kidding) to steal Sam's cage and turn it into a squirrel cage.
I wasn't sure how two iguanas went be at a craft show. No one seemed to complain. Many people charged up to the cages. We did some unofficial babysitting for other booths. LOL
Well, after three days of this, I am tired.
