I just wanted to give an update (just in case anybody is interested) on Griffin's adjustment to his new enclosure.
He is doing Great! 2 weeks ago, he moved from a 3ft x 1.5 ft x 1.5ft tank into a 5ft high x 4ft long x 3ft deep enclosure. He is about 18 inches long and was not housed in that enclosure long. He started out asm y foster Ig but i adopted him as Candace knew i would. :)
He had some difficulty adjusting and I was worried why since the temps are correct (around 90-95 day, 80 at night) and he has plenty of UVB (4ft Iguana light). He has a diet of dandelion, collards, water cress, hibiscus, spag. squash and some shredded carrots and all kinds of other stuff (minimal kale, swiss chard, spinach and other calcium inhibiting greens). He gets some fruit on the weekends. He gets a bath every 2nd day in warm water. He comes out every day and sits on my shoulder (or my head) as i do chores. He is quite tame for such a youngster.
However, once he moved into his new condo, he was very shy and didn't explore his new place.
For the last week, I would sit in his enclosure with him and read a magazine (sometimes you have to get creative). He would climb all over me and look out of the glass door but as soon as i left, he'd hide again.
He explores now. He is over his shiness and roams all over his condo.
I thank everybody for their advise.
