: I'm new here, but have been posting on Kingsnake a while back.

: Anyway, I have recently adopted a REALLY BIG boy. Guy is 8 y.o., 5.5' long, and weighs around 12-14lbs. My scale is not accurate enough to check for sure... Altogether, not a beginner animal, but he is SO BEAUTIFUL. He's quickly adjusted to the move, started eating on the first day with me, and behaves very well (for a big male). As long as I respect his moods, and keep a comfortable distance, he tolerates me. I can pick him up, mess with his feet, etc, as long as I respect his signals as to when he's had enough.

: I was wondering, how old/big are your iguanas? Who has the oldest Ig here? I'd love to see your pics, if you'd post some for me. I am trying to get a few good pics of guy, and I'll post those when I can.

My iguana is almost 3' long. I thought it was a girl, now I'm not totally sure. She doesn't weight much at all. She's a very slim iguana. She's also not one to eat a lot, but eats many times during the day. She is VERY active. She would have been longer, but last fall caught her tail in our radiator cover and lost about 4-5 inches. She's about a year and a half old right now and is VERY tame and sweet. I "adopted" her when my daughter and her (ex)boyfriend brought her back from the beach.
