Hey Matt, it's Derek from the Tegu Forum.
Just wanted to contribute. Listen to Mr. D! I know him personally,and the Igs he cares for. His guidance is sound.
If thinking about getting an Ig, they are just as rewarding as your Arg...but just be aware that the "overhead" required to house and care for a single Green Ig is the same or greater than all of your existing three herps combined!
And you will HAVE TO make the switch to a pure VEGAN diet with the Ig. No taking left-over pinkies, crix, mealworms,...and throwing them in it's direction.
Doing it right, there is alot of time involved in food prep as well. Frequent trips to the produce section :)
If you decide to do it, enjoy. They are cool. I am content with visiting Mr. D's igs regularly, but leaving the cage-cleaning to him! (lol)
