For a full grown iguana, a cage should be at least 6' tall x 6' long x 4'deep. Some say 4x4x6, but that's too small to keep an adult iguana happy for life.
Yes, it needs to be custom made or you could make it yourself. They don't come available at pet stores or even on the internet in the sizes needed by an adult iguana. They have "starter" cages which will last you less than a year, but it's best to sink all your money into one big cage which will last you the entire life of the ig.
Our 8X6X4 cage cost us almost $1000.00 to make ourselves, and custom jobs are much more. This is not to mention all the expensive lighting and heat they need, nor the humidity and freshly chopped vegetables. Iguanas are not cheap easy pets. They are hard to keep, but if you do it right, they can be well worth it.
