Igs are so very different personalities, and yes, while they may be able to co habitate when they are young (big IF), they may grow up to HATE eachother. Or, they could hate eachother now, and/or one could be more dominant, and keep the other from the food dish (BTDT, not fun).
Behavior/Personality issues aside, Are you SURE that Egor is a boy? And the new ig will be a girl?? Especially if you're getting them young, you usually can't see sexual characteristics for at LEAST 2 years.
AND THEN...Do you have TIME for 2 iguanas? Especially two babies? It's hard enough to potty train and behavior train one, much less two.
What about the space issue? Yeah, as a little guy, he may not command a HUGE amount of space, but if you're taking proper care of him, within a year or so, EGOR ALONE is going to need a substantial amount of space. Add a second ig, and you'll need to increase the cage size by at least 1/2, and that's IF they grow up and can be housed together. If not, you'll need a seperate enclosure, and possibly, keep eachother out of visual range.
To continue on my soap box... DON'T TRY AND SELL THE BABIES!!!!!!! Don't let them breed, (IF you manage to have a boy and a girl) they can be wounded during the mating process, PLUS making sure that the female lays the eggs (which you'll have to deal with anyways, but it would be even more nerve racking to worry if the eggs were fertile, I think). Oh, yeah, and do you REALLY think there's not nearly enough hatchlings come into pet shops in the US (I'm assuming that's where you are)???? Consider the fact that only 10% SURVIVE past the first year, and that's not even counting the countless hatchlings that don't even make it past SHIPPING TO the pet store. There are WAAAY too many igs out there, in rescues, needing to be rehabbed, in totally deploarable conditions,...need I rant more??
OOP...what about money? Yeah, you may spend 15-20 bucks on the little ig at Petsmart or Pet Co, or even 25 at the local pet store, but...ONE ig is expensive at the vet, for even routine visits...What happens if the female gets egg bound? What happens if they grow up, hate eachother and rip eachother to shreds? There was a girl on this board not too long ago, that had to have an ig's leg amputated cause of a fight with another iguana of hers. That was a very possibly a very expensive procedure.
I'm very, very, very, terribly sorry if you feel jumped on or flamed. This is a subject VERY dear to me, having been the person that people bring thier sickly, viscious, maltreated, unwanted igs to. There is SOOO much that needs to be considered before even getting ONE, much less two. I hope to GAWD that you get this before you go to the pet store. and if you read it after, you turn right back around and return it.

: hey, i'm gunna get Egor a girlfrind, and i was wondering if my theory was right. . . get another ig when they are young, so they can get to know each other at a young age, and hopefully they won't hate each other in the future, and they can make me $, by selling their babies (maybe!!!). but any way, is my theory right? i need an answer soon, cuz i'm going to get her tomorrow after school.
