Yes. . .even in some parts of Mexico evidently. We have allot of Mexican immagrants in Texas. One time I was bringing the Ig's in for a grade school program and the janitor lady stopped short when she saw them. She spoke only Spanish, but another lady translated "chicken of the tree". Sure enough. . .! I've also heard similar from the guys that cut my yard.

But you know. . .even though I keep Ig's myself. . .I don't have a problem with the fact that happens in other countries. I mean. . .it's not like people aren't killing the Ig's out of meanness, neglect (as so many do in the states), or to sell their skins. They're doing it to feed their hungary families. . .and the Ig's they get are wild. Just like when we hunt wild game, in the states. . .I'm okay with it as long as it's not just for sport. If you're going to eat the meat, it's okay. . .but if you just want the skins, or the trophy, or the sport. . .that's when I start having problems w/it.

: Hi, i had heard in some countries they eat iguanas as a delicacy. is this true and if so what countries eat them and how do they taste? this is a serious question and not a joke so please dont flame me. thanks.
