7 years old isn't even half way through the average lifespan of an iguana. The only real reason that it's amazing that one lives to be that long is because of the current mentality of caring for them. Misinformation/ignorance is the #1 cause of early death in captive iguanas. If cared for properly, 20 or even 30 years is not unheard of.
Just by the fact that you realize that you may not currently have the room for anig tells me that your BD is in good hands.....Good luck with him/her...;)
