My ig may be in danger

hey, i was reading this thing on how to tame my ig. it said find a place in your house where you can close a door and be able to reach it at any time. well, i picked the bathroom. well, i have to cats and obviously i have cat litter. well, i put him down it the bathroom to roam and get used to being out in the open (somewhat). he climed into the litter box and he imitates snakes and sticks his tongue out and tastes his surroundings. well, he liked up a piece of litter and swallowed it. he didn't do it any more that day, yet the next day, he did it again and picked up one piece of litter and swallowed it. is this harmfull to him? can he get constipated by it (i'm sure it was bigger than his butt-hole:) ). what should i do? take him into the vet, or wait and search his poop daily? help
