The problem you're describing used to happen a lot when we were using the plastic bases. Personally, I've yet to see a ceramic base with a switch contained within the base. In fact, none of the ceramics that we have here have ANY form of switch either in the base or in-line. Are you 100% sure that you are buying ceramic fixtures?
