Axe, the heat rocks should still be removed, as Raven suggested. The issue does not stop with whether or not the rocks get too hot, but that they supply heat to the iguana in an inappropriate fashon. Iguanas are strong ectotherms, and get all needed body heat from basking in direct sunlight from above. A captive iguana cannot properly regulate it's body temperature by hugging a heat rock, but rather needs to bask under a heat lamp for proper regulation, and therefore digestion. Even if the ig is not burned by the heat rock, they can overheat the gut, and eventually have digestive problems. Do these igs have any overhead lighting and heat, and do they have access to uvb radiation from natural sunlight or an appropriate reptile uvb lamp? I can't tell from the pix. They are nice looking igs, and I'm just offering a little constructive help...
