I agree w/the others...bigger is better...but also have something else to add. I would recommend an outside cage too. UV lights are okay if a herp absolutely HAS to be inside 24x7, but there's nothing like natural unfiltered sunlight.
My Ig's stay outside 24x7 at least 6 months of the year (I live in Texas) and sometimes more. Even in the winter here, I sometimes able to take them out for a sunny December bask. Even if your climate would not allow that much outdoor time, or if you don't have a backyard....it would be good to build a smaller outdoor cage for natural sun basks.

: Well I currently have Ball Pythons, Ive had in the past Leopard geckos and a Blue Tongued Skink...Well my gfs boss has a 4yr old Ig for free, nice home built 4 ft by 2 ft by 3ft( I think he said) cage..is that a sufficent cage for life or willa larger need built? I have read EVERYTHING about Igs trust me hehe Melissa Kaplans site was my bible before I got into reptiles 2 yrs ago...what do you guys think???
