My iguanas both eat several times a day--I'd say around four or five times a day each. I'm a fussy iguana mom, who pampers them and pays a lot of attention to them so I realize that four to five times a day might be a bit much for some people but I figure since they eat every time I offer them food, they must be hungry more often than we think.
Something else to consider: In the wild, they can eat as much and as often as they like to, so why should we limit them to two or so times a day in captivitiy?
ALso, I have never seen an obese iguana. Just some nice, healthy kinda chubby ones. That's the way I like 'em!
