Spike is going through shedding right now. I got him from my sister almost a month ago and she said he didn't shed that often, maybe every few omnths or so. And he had just shed right before I got him. Well, he didn't have a good diet, lettuce and ig food. Not saying anything about my sis, she was going by a book that I chunked.
He has been eating great! Green's, fruits, veggies... He started shedding about two days ago and he looks totally terrible, but still my baby...lol.
He gets plenty of food. Three kiddie-platefuls a day.. and sometimes he eats it all sometimes not. First one in the morning, second in the evening around 4-5pm and then a last one when I go to bed around 9 which he ususally doesn't touch until aroung 10-10:30. My husband puts him in his cage after I go to bed. Well, he had his second today around 4 and didn't eat it til about 5-5:30 and my husband said he scarfed it. I get home around 8 and anytime I put my hand around him, he lunges like I have food. I get him some greens and he when to town on it like he hadn't eaten in three days. Two large collard leaves!!! Then he scarfed down about 5 grapes!!!
My question is... do they tend to get ravished during a shed?
