: Anyone ever have an iggy rib "feel" like it had been broken before?
Christy,
When I used to visit Bobbit at the petstore way back before I adopted him, I noticed that he had what felt like an old broken rib on one side. It feels like it has healed over, and my vet said that it had indeed been broken but that there was not much I could do for it now, after the fact.
He seems fine--doesn't seem to even notice (but what do I know, he can't exactly talk LOL) so I haven't worried that much about it.
Since he was/is a rescue, I often wonder about what his former life was like, and wonder who could be so cruel to him. He's had a rough go of it, but now I'm doing my best to love the heck out of him. He's a sweetie and he'll never be subjected to broken ribs, starvation, and neglect again.
Hope this helps to give you peace of mind to know that there are other igs out there living with broken/healed ribs.
Diana
