Hello, all; My name is Toni and I haven't been around for awhile due to a burned out moniter, but I just got one and am going crazy because I am so desperate for some help....I think I have a mite problem, with a twist. I have 7 igs, and had never experienced mites before. I'm not sure where the animals got them, and I have only been able to find maybe a dozen on them, combined, in the last 2 weeks, even though I'm looking for them. But I have been feeling extremely itchy for about a week...I thought it was paranioa because I had seen a couple of them on the igs, especially since every time I feel something there is nothing there, but a few minutes ago I actually found 2 crawlies on me, and they were too small to be baby spiders - actually barely visable. Now, here's my twist: all of my igs are free roamers, and most go outside periodically. I know the normal treatment for mites, but how can that be implemented on a household basis?? Also, I'd like to get confirmation on what it is that can be put on igs after their bath (oil?) to sufficate them. But I don't want tham roaming on me either!! Have any iguana veterans out there ever dealt with a similar situation, and if so, is there any solution besides getting rid of all of my animals? Any help would be so welcome! Thank you.....Toni and the igs
ps - if this is a cross-post i apologize; and feel free to e-mail me direct if you'd like - I may get it quicker that way. thanx.
