Your vet can't do much after a week! Take him to an emergency vet clinic that IS open now! You need to wrap it straight so the bone heals. One thing you could do is strap a popsicle stick to it and wrap it to the side of his body as well. so that it stays completely straight and he cannot use it. I really recommend taking him to a vet if you want it to heal nicely.
