ROACH ...new behavior

i was shaving with Roach on my shoulder yesterday when i noticed him spead out his dewlap and start head bobing. Roach is only about 4-5 months old and about 16'' stl, is this an early sign that he is a male?... he's got some crazy colors on that dewlap, bright blue and bright yellow, very impressive
