Thanks To Everyone...Yesterday's Reptile Show

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to send out a huge thanks to every Canadian that found it in their heart yesterday to donate some funds to the Canadian Red Cross to help the victims of last week's tragic events. At the show in Toronto yesterday, over $150 was raised and the funds are being delivered to the Red Cross this morning. Thanks again everyone!

We ended up leaving the show with mixed feeling and emotions. It was discovered later in the morning, that a vendor was there selling baby iguanas for $20. It was heart wrenching to see but and end was put to it after it was discovered. One can only hope that all the igs got great, permanent homes. It was though because we were there trying to find homes for 16 iguanas as it was. Apparently this vendor supplies baby igs to all of southern Ontario as well so now we have a source and an individual to contact regarding this issue. Maybe something positive can come of all of this.

The show was also a success for us in that 2 igs were adopted afterwards and should be going to their new homes by the weekend which was great to see. We also managed to get some more foster homes set up in for some of the larger snakes as well as an ig.

But thank you once again everyone for your help with the Red Cross!
