if it is a fairly *constant* swelling, it could be an infection and need medical attention ...

if it's more a "sometimes" thing ~ THAT is normal! *usually* they just do it when their face is getting ready to shed, especially the eye-lids, cuz it helps them to loosen that itchy shed and be rid of it quicker ...

but i've also seen iZ do it for no apparent reason other than to freak me out ... *grin* ... like last nite, he was hangin' out in the livingroom before bedtime and i look over at him and just cracked up! he's laying there arms + legs flung back, all comfy cozy and has his eyes bugged out ... looked like some sort of atomic frog ... LOL ...

as long as he can make it 'go away' when he wants ~ like as soon as he opens his eyes, then it's prob'ly just one of those silly-ig things or shedding ... if his eye lids continue to look swollen even after he's opened his eyes and they *stay* looking swollen ~ THEN get to a vet asap ...

wish i'd taken a pic of iZ last nite but i was LOL too hard ...
