Okay as some of you might know I have a 30 gallon aquarium that HOSS is housed in for the moment. I at this point am designing my new enclosure on my Cad program as we speak, but in the mean time I was wondering something about lighting. Someone told me to put the hood and flourescent light inside of the aquarium like on the bottom of the tank instead of on top of the screen top!!! Should I shouldn't I???? They said they'll reap the rewards of the UVB/A better this way!!!! Also does having the light this close affect there eyes?? I know it bothers my eyes looking at it that closeAlso a 30 gallon tank is only about 16 3/4" high, so would a ZOOMED 75W Basking light be too hot with the basking shelf being only about 5-6" away from it???? The temps on that side of the tank stay at about 96-98 degrees and on the side without the light it stays at about 84-86 degrees!!! Plus he's forever in that damn hide box too!!!! Give me a holla!!
