Are Igs supposed to have any mucus in there mouth?

Someone told me a little mucus is normal?? Now i am confused~ Miya seems back to himself today? Maybe he choked on something and threw it up?? I offered him some water this morning and he drank a small amount and than tried to bite me and bobbed his head like crazy!LOL~ That is defenitly normal behavior for him~
I checked his mouth when he had it open and there was only the smallest amount of mucus~ Should I be worried?
