What would HELP us to know is the age of your iguana (could be stress reaction if little or breeding season if mature one)as well as the health status of your ig. MANY igs become aggressive because they are stress or sick not only breeding season crazies.
Anyway...for a HEALTHY youngster would give a Complex B vitamin several times a week...crush and hide @1/3 of tab in a piece of whole wheat bread then feed (stress reducer)
If mature breeding season aggression in an otherwise HEALTHY, NOT GRAVID ig...I'd go with not only a B complex but add a valerian tab a few times a week or Mexican wild yam root about 4 drops 3xs a week. Give these things a try, if in a couplea weeks no improvement post back and we'll figure out some other alternatives.
Your post almost sounds as if you've lost interest in your iguana, or are so frustrated and desperate you're willing to harm your iguana in order to get the response, behavior, sedation YOU want....if this is the case...consider placing your ig with a reptile rescue near you. Sometimes a change in owners, makes all the difference in the world...and I have no idea why that is, it just IS! Contact your local humane society for current listings of same or visit MKaplan's website for a list of rescues hopefully one near you.
Much luck to you!
