I have been using a leash on Sneakers lately and it is working pretty well. I started by using a leash that I had bought for Merlin, it was store bought. It is one that was mainly all thin nylon string that you wrap around like a harness and fasten with a clip. Problem was it looked so darn uncomfortable, not to mention that it took five people and a magician to get it on. No wonder the poor little ig looked stressed. Then I started just putting it on above the back legs, but there is a metal piece on it that looked liked it rubbed on the back. Still no good. Seemed to prohibit free moment.
By jove - I think I have it. I went down to the sewing center and picked up a what-ya-ma-call-it, the thing that you use on jackets strings. It is a plastic cylinder with a hole that a nylon loop fits through and has a small button that you press and it releases pressure on the strings so that it loosens quickly without alot of pressure on the ig. I have used it on Sneakers that last couple of days and it seems to work extremely nice. It doesn't rub, its light weight, and allows free movement.
Can't believe that you buy something supposely designed for a particular animal and then you have to redesign it. Can anyone think of anything else that it might need. I may start reproducing these and sell them to the pet store myself.
